    Give us this day our daily bread,

    And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors;

    And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,

    For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.” Amen.

    Word of God: 2 Timothy 1:1-14

    Pastoral Prayer

    The Nicene Creed

    I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

    And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds;
    God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made. Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried; and the third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and he shall come again, with glory, to judge the living and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.

     And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets.

    And I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church.

    I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead,
    and the life of the world to come. Amen.

    WELCOME TO GRACE OPC!

    On behalf of the session of Grace OPC, I want to extend our warmest greetings to you.  It is my hope and prayer that as we gather together this Lord’s Day to worship our Triune God and Redeemer, you will be encouraged to cast your cares upon the Lord and to draw near to God by faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. If you are new here in Fair Lawn, please join us for fellowship following the benediction, and be sure to sign our guestbook.  We look forward to personally speaking with you, and if there are any prayer concerns in your heart, don’t hesitate to bring them to our attention.

                                                                 Pastor John Keegan

    This morning in Isaiah 39:1-8, we will learn from Hezekiah’s encounter with the Babylonian visitors – a visit that portended the future destruction of Jerusalem – how subtle pride and faithlessness intermingle when we lose sight of the eternal treasure of grace.

    This evening  in Mark 8:1-21, we will consider how sanctification involves not only the renewal of the mind, growth in grace and knowledge, but critically, an understanding of spiritual truth that affects our walk with Christ.

    Sunday School Panama Project

    Rey Gaskin has communicated to us that the work of establishing an indigenous church in his homeland of Panama has been put on pause due to absence of growth and the need for an evangelist / missionary on site. The Session moved a motion to designate the Sunday School Project for Panama collection for 2024 to cover the out-of-pocket cost incurred by Rey Gaskin for the filing and application fees for a non-profit status for the pending reboot of the missionary work in Panama. Rey and Alba have begun to attend a MTW PCA mission work in Panama.
