The Nicene Creed

I believe in one God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds;
God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God;
begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made.

Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried; and the third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and he shall come again, with glory, to judge the living and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.

On behalf of the session of Grace OPC, I want to extend our warmest greetings to you.  It is my hope and prayer that as we gather together this Lord’s Day to worship our Triune God and Redeemer, you will be encouraged to cast your cares upon the Lord and to draw near to God by faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Sermon Summary

This morning in James 2:14-26, we will learn that saving faith proves its genuineness by works; that is, faithful works flow from saving faith.

This evening in Mark 15:40-47, we will consider the spiritual significance of the godly observance of the women and the gathered courage of Joseph of Arimathea in the care and burial of the Lord Jesus.

All who may participate in the Lord’s Supper are those who have publicly confessed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who continue steadfastly in that faith, who are members of good standing in a particular disciplined and Bible believing manifestation of His Church, and who, in accordance with the Scriptures, have duly examined their hearts before the Lord. If you are a visitor unknown to us and wish to participate in the Lord’s Supper we ask you, if it is possible, to make yourself known to a member of Session before the beginning of worship. The ushers will happily assist you in so doing.

Joint Fellowship Luncheon & Afternoon Worship

This coming Sunday, October 5, 2025, Grace Reformed Church URCNA, Jersey City, will join us for our annual joint Fellowship Luncheon & Afternoon Worship. *Note, we are moving up our monthly Fellowship Luncheon one week, for this special occasion. We are providing the main dishes which needs the double portion of it.

Men & Women’s Combined Prayer Breakfast

The Men and Women will meet for a combined Prayer Breakfast on October 11, at 9:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall. No women’s book study!
