As an introduction into the book of Daniel, we learned how the book should be read and understood with a view of the church’s calling to live redemptively as exiles in the cities in which we reside, serving our King while we await the consummation of His kingdom. This evening, we will consider our calling as exiles to be faithful to our King, the Lord Jesus, because it is God who is ordering world history for His redemptive purposes and our ultimate good.
