Question 57. Which is the fourth commandment?

    Answer.

The fourth commandment is, Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: but the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

    WELCOME TO GRACE OPC!

On behalf of the session of Grace OPC, I want to extend our warmest greetings to you.  It is my hope and prayer that as we gather together this Lord’s Day to worship our Triune God and Redeemer, you will be encouraged to cast your cares upon the Lord and to draw near to God by faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. If you are new here in Fair Lawn, please join us for fellowship following the benediction, and be sure to sign our guestbook.  We look forward to personally speaking with you, and if there are any prayer concerns in your heart, don’t hesitate to bring them to our attention.

                                                                                Pastor John Keegan

This morning in Isaiah 25:1-12, we will see how the triumph of God over the forces of evil and the establishment of His kingdom has already taken place in the first advent of Christ and will be consummated at His second advent, is the great hope and comfort for His covenant people in the in between.

This Evening in 2 Samuel 23:8-39, we will learn how the Spirit of the risen Christ endows all believers to be “mighty men and women” in the kingdom of God and for its extension to the ends of the earth.

Thanksgiving Eve Service: This Wednesday evening at 7 PM, November 22, we will hold our annual Thanksgiving Eve Service, including opportunities for the congregation during the service to give thanks to Creator and Redeemer with personal testimonies of His grace and goodness. Refreshments will follow.
