WELCOME TO GRACE OPC! 

On behalf of the session of Grace OPC, I want to extend our warmest greetings to you.  It is my hope and prayer that as we gather together this Lord’s Day to worship our Triune God and Redeemer, you will be encouraged to cast your cares upon the Lord and to draw near to God by faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. If you are new here in Fair Lawn, please join us for fellowship following the benediction, and be sure to sign our guestbook.  We look forward to personally speaking with you, and if there are any prayer concerns in your heart, don’t hesitate to bring them to our attention.

Sermon Summary

This morning Mr. Kevin Vasquez will open God’s Word in Psalm 131, where we will find the mode of biblical hope in a world of pain and suffering.

This evening in Matthew 2:13-23, we will see how the war between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent is played out in the actions of Herod to destroy but the sovereignty of God to preserve.

Announcement

Today, The Lord’s Supper.

All who may participate in the Lord’s Supper are those who have publicly confessed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who continue steadfastly in that faith, who are members of good standing in a particular disciplined and Bible believing manifestation of His Church, and who, in accordance with the Scriptures, have duly examined their hearts before the Lord. If you are a visitor unknown to us and wish to participate in the Lord’s Supper we ask you, if it is possible, to make yourself known to a member of Session before the beginning of worship. The ushers will happily assist you in so doing.

2025 Annual Congregation Report Due Date

The ‘much-appreciated’ deadline for sending Annual Reports to Nancy Hemrick, our Annual Report Compiler, is Friday, January 9, 2026.

New Members Reception & Covenant Baptisms

Next week, January 11, 2026, during the morning worship service, Mr. Jonathan Carlo Baratta will publicly confess his faith in Christ alone, be baptized and received into communicant membership here at Grace OPC, in accordance with the Book of Church Order, Directory for the Public Worship of God, III. B.2. Members of the Session met with Mr. Baratta on December 28, 2025, and he was examined as to his profession of faith in Christ alone, in accordance with the Directory for the Public Worship of God, IV.A.3.

Fellowship Luncheon

Next Sunday we will hold our monthly Fellowship Potluck  Luncheon following morning worship, and close the Lord’s Day with afternoon worship.
