The Lord's Prayer
“Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven;
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors;
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.” Amen.
Word of God: Psalm 103:1-18
Pastoral Prayer
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead, and was buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

WELCOME TO GRACE OPC!
On behalf of the session of Grace OPC, I want to extend our warmest greetings to you. It is my hope and prayer that as we gather together this Lord’s Day to worship our Triune God and Redeemer, you will be encouraged to cast your cares upon the Lord and to draw near to God by faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. If you are new here in Fair Lawn, please join us for fellowship following the benediction, and be sure to sign our guestbook. We look forward to personally speaking with you, and if there are any prayer concerns in your heart, don’t hesitate to bring them to our attention.
Pastor John Keegan
Sermon Summery
This morning in James 1:12-18, we will learn that temptation to sin comes from within but the power to resist temptation comes from above through the gift of the new birth and union with Christ.
This evening in Mark 14:66-72, we will see how Peter’s denial of the Lord Jesus three times, awakens us to our own weakness and warns us against prideful self-reliance.

Sunday School: Back to School!
Sunday School will resume this coming Sunday, September 7 at 9:45 AM. The Adult Forum will feature a teaching series by Dr. Sinclair Ferguson, “Who is the Holy Spirit?” from Ligonier Ministries.
Next week: The Lord’s Supper
All who may participate in the Lord’s Supper are those who have publicly confessed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who continue steadfastly in that faith, who are members of good standing in a particular disciplined and Bible believing manifestation of His Church, and who, in accordance with the Scriptures, have duly examined their hearts before the Lord. If you are a visitor unknown to us and wish to participate in the Lord’s Supper we ask you, if it is possible, to make yourself known to a member of Session before the beginning of worship. The ushers will happily assist you in so doing.
