“Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven;
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors;
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.” Amen.

Westminster Shorter Catechism:
Question 97.
What is required to the worthy receiving of the Lord’s supper?
Answer.
It is required of them that would worthily partake of the Lord’s supper, that they examine themselves of their knowledge to discern the Lord’s body, of their faith to feed upon him, of their repentance, love, and new obedience; lest, coming unworthily, they eat and drink judgment to themselves.
*Hymn: “O Thank the LORD, for He Is Good” (vv. 1-5) #107A
Tithes and Offerings
*Doxology: "Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise him, all creatures here below; praise him above, ye heave'nly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen." #568
Word of God: Luke 17:11-19
Preaching of God’s Word: “Jesus and the One Leper’s Return”

WELCOME TO GRACE OPC!
On behalf of the session of Grace OPC, I want to extend our warmest greetings to you. It is my hope and prayer that as we gather together this Lord’s Day to worship our Triune God and Redeemer, you will be encouraged to cast your cares upon the Lord and to draw near to God by faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. If you are new here in Fair Lawn, please join us for fellowship following the benediction, and be sure to sign our guestbook. We look forward to personally speaking with you, and if there are any prayer concerns in your heart, don’t hesitate to bring them to our attention.
Pastor John Keegan
This Sunday we welcome back Rev. John Vroegindewey to the pulpit.
This morning in Luke 17:11-19, in the account of “Jesus and One Leper’s Return”, we will learn of a cleansing power deeper than the skin that our Sovereign Lord works in our hearts.
This evening, in Luke 7:1-10, in the account of “Jesus and the Centurion’s Faith”, we will learn of the first fruits of belief in our Lord’s Almighty power anticipating the inclusion of the Gentiles as full heirs of the New Covenant.
Pastor John speaking & preaching engagement at Westminster OPC: The Session of Westminster OPC in Hollidaysburg, PA (where Mason & Abby McGinnis are members) has asked Pastor John Keegan to be the speaker at their Men’s Retreat (August 23-24) and to preach during the Lord’s Day morning worship service (August 25).
Invite: Rev. Steve Atkinson speaking at Ridgefield Park RPCNA on Monday, August 26, 2024
Rev. Steve Atkinson will be speaking at Ridgefield Park RPCNA on the New Covenant in Jeremiah 31:31ff. with a view towards encouraging the church in the evangelism of our Jewish neighbors. The address is: 310 Main Street, Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660.
Grace OPC & Grace Reformed Church URCNA Joint Picnic & Afternoon Worship.
Mark your calendars: next Lord’s Day, September 1, we will hold our annual joint picnic and afternoon worship with Grace Reformed Church URCNA Jersey City. If you are able, plan to prepare double portions as we here at Grace OPC will provide the main dishes, while Grace Reformed Church will provide desserts, salads, etc.
*The picnic lunch, on September 1, will replace the regular 2 nd Sunday Fellowship Luncheon on September 8, 2024.
Next Sunday: The Lord’s Supper. All who may participate in the Lord’s Supper are those who have publicly confessed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who continue steadfastly in that faith, who are members of good standing in a particular disciplined and Bible believing manifestation of His Church, and who, in accordance with the Scriptures, have duly examined their hearts before the Lord. If you are a visitor unknown to us and wish to participate in the Lord’s Supper we ask you, if it is possible, to make yourself known to a member of Session before the beginning of worship. The ushers will happily assist you in so doing.
