    Question 96.

    What is the Lord’s supper?

    Answer.

The Lord’s supper is a sacrament, wherein, by giving and receiving bread and wine according to Christ’s appointment, his death is showed forth; and the worthy receivers are, not after a corporal and carnal manner, but by faith, made partakers of his body and blood, with all his benefits, to their spiritual nourishment and growth in grace.

    WELCOME TO GRACE OPC!

On behalf of the session of Grace OPC, I want to extend our warmest greetings to you.  It is my hope and prayer that as we gather together this Lord’s Day to worship our Triune God and Redeemer, you will be encouraged to cast your cares upon the Lord and to draw near to God by faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. If you are new here in Fair Lawn, please join us for fellowship following the benediction, and be sure to sign our guestbook.  We look forward to personally speaking with you, and if there are any prayer concerns in your heart, don’t hesitate to bring them to our attention.

                                                                 Pastor John Keegan

This morning, in Isaiah 30:18-26, we will consider the patience of God that leads sinners to submit to His Son as Lord of all and cast away all the idols of our hearts that would compete with His reign over our lives.

This evening, in Mark 4:1-20, in the parable of the good soil, we will learn that those with a heart for God hear His Word, accept His Word, and bear fruit from obedience to His Word.

Pastor John speaking & preaching engagement at Westminster OPC: The Session of Westminster OPC in Hollidaysburg, PA (where Mason & Abby McGinnis are members) has asked Pastor John Keegan to be the speaker at their Men’s Retreat (August 23-24) and to preach during the Lord’s Day morning worship service (August 25). Rev. John Vroegindewey will be filling the pulpit in the morning and evening of August 25, in Pastor John’s absence.
