WELCOME TO GRACE OPC! 

On behalf of the session of Grace OPC, I want to extend our warmest greetings to you.  It is my hope and prayer that as we gather together this Lord’s Day to worship our Triune God and Redeemer, you will be encouraged to cast your cares upon the Lord and to draw near to God by faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. If you are new here in Fair Lawn, please join us for fellowship following the benediction, and be sure to sign our guestbook.  We look forward to personally speaking with you, and if there are any prayer concerns in your heart, don’t hesitate to bring them to our attention.

This morning in Isaiah 21:1-10, we will learn that the fall of Babylon, representative of the world’s attempt to live in independence from and opposition to the city of God, is a call for the perseverance of the saints to live by faith in Jesus Christ, as Savior and Lord.

This evening in 2 Samuel 19:41-20:26, we will consider in light of the many struggles and conflicts that assail the kingdom of God, some from without but many often from within, how important it is for Christians to strive for the peace and purity of Christ’s church.

Ordination Service for the Office of Ruling Elder

Following August 20th's morning worship, a Special Congregational Meeting was held to conduct elections for the office of Ruling Elder from the two men the Session had certified - Kevin Vasquez and Tyler Teschon (BOCO FOG XXV. 4.). The members of Grace OPC present for the election - in identical voting for both men (16 "Yes"; 1 "No"; 1 "Abstain") - overwhelmingly voted to have Kevin and Tyler take on the office of Ruling Elder.

The Session has set the date of September 10, 2023, during the morning worship, for the ordination and installation of Kevin Vasquez and Tyler Teschon in accordance with the OPC Book of Church Order, Form of Government XXV.5-6.

Next Sunday: The Lord’s Supper. All who may participate in the Lord’s Supper are those who have publicly confessed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who continue steadfastly in that faith, who are members of good standing in a particular disciplined and Bible believing manifestation of His Church, and who, in accordance with the Scriptures, have duly examined their hearts before the Lord.  If you are a visitor unknown to us and wish to participate in the Lord’s Supper we ask you, if it is possible, to make yourself known to a member of Session before the beginning of worship.  The ushers will happily assist you in so doing.
