WELCOME TO GRACE OPC! On behalf of the session of Grace OPC, I want to extend our warmest greetings to you. It is my hope and prayer that as we gather together this Lord’s Day to worship our Triune God and Redeemer, you will be encouraged to cast your cares upon the Lord and to draw near to God by faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. If you are new here in Fair Lawn, please join us for fellowship following the benediction, and be sure to sign our guestbook. We look forward to personally speaking with you, and if there are any prayer concerns on your heart, don’t hesitate to bring them to our attention.
Today we will begin a four-part sermon series on shepherding in preparation for our fall season of receiving nominations for the ordained offices of elders and deacons.
This morning we will learn that of first importance for those ordained to the offices of elder and deacon – and ultimately as examples for the whole body of Christ – is an experiential knowledge o God as our Maker and our Redeemer.
This afternoon in 1 Samuel 22 we will look at the depth of the darkness of the spiritual opposition to the kingdom of God, in contrast to the light of the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ’s power to preserve His people in their perseverance in extending His kingdom.
Fellowship Luncheon Today: Following the morning worship we will be having our monthly fellowship potluck luncheon. Please plan to join us!
